Disrupt (Mission)

Disrupt is one of the four mission types in The Blackout Club (game).

Mission Briefing[edit | edit source]

It's not just the parents, teachers, and cops - it's something way older pulling the strings. The whole dang town, versus, well... us. We need to show Redacre we ain't afraid (so just...fake it). Wake folks up, get them to join, or if things go bad... replace us.

Description[edit | edit source]

Disrupt missions require the players to intervene and attempt to break up what's happening in Redacre. There are currently 13 possible objectives in a Search mission.

Potential Mission Objectives[edit | edit source]

Players may be asked to complete any of the follow objectives - the number of objectives that need to be completed is determined in part by the host's level. Some objectives must be completed sequentially due to the nature of the objective; the "Next Objective" describes what objective may follow.

Dance Fever[edit | edit source]

Description: Get the thumb drive. Make the world dance. It will bring the Shape! Keep Going! One Voice wants us to... dance. For fun, we thought. But they taught us a rhythm that - we swear to god - activates some primal instinct in the adults to Shake. That. Ass. They can't hurt you while they're dancing, but the song won't last forever, so RUN to get as many as you can! Also - it doesn't work on the shape, it, - uh, brings him right to you. Heh.

Next Objective: Exit Map

Get The Dampers[edit | edit source]

Description: Pick up some Instrument Dampers. Go collect the 12 Sound Dampers. We stashed them in closets and garage areas, they look like big wooden blocks. They'll disrupt the big Instrument that tracks all our so-called Sins and brings the Shape down on us.

Next Objective: Install Dampers in Maze

Objective Item(s):

Sound Dampers

Install Dampers in Maze[edit | edit source]

Description: Install the dampers. Mount dampers on strings. Place 4 Sound Dampers on these specific Instrument Strings underground. This'll turn off the bad guys' big Murder Harp thing, at least for a while - wiping the record of all our "Sins".
