Disrupt is one of the four mission types in The Blackout Club (game).

Mission Briefing[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png It's not just the parents, teachers, and cops - it's something way older pulling the strings. The whole dang town, versus, well... us. We need to show Redacre we ain't afraid (so just...fake it). Wake folks up, get them to join, or if things go bad... replace us. RightQuote.png
— Mission Briefing

Description[edit | edit source]

Disrupt missions require the players to intervene and attempt to break up some of the weird events happening in Redacre.

Potential Mission Objectives[edit | edit source]

Players may be asked to complete any of the follow objectives - the number of objectives that need to be completed is determined in part by the host's level. Some objectives must be completed sequentially due to the nature of the objective; the "Next Objective" describes what objective may follow.

Dance Fever[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png Get the thumb drive. Make the world dance. It will bring the Shape! Keep Going! One Voice wants us to... dance. For fun, we thought. But they taught us a rhythm that - we swear to god - activates some primal instinct in the adults to Shake. That. Ass. They can't hurt you while they're dancing, but the song won't last forever, so RUN to get as many as you can! Also - it doesn't work on the shape, it, - uh, brings him right to you. Heh. Egg the Lucids[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png Hit the Lucids with 3 eggs each. The stink will wake them! That Voice, the uh - prankster? He wants to humiliate the enemy by... hitting Lucids with rotten eggs. Yes, it's childish and dangerous, but on the other hand, it sounds like actual fun? Remember fun?! We're doing it. This one's for us, y'all! RightQuote.png

Get The Dampers[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png Pick up some Instrument Dampers. Go collect the 12 Sound Dampers. We stashed them in closets and garage areas, they look like big wooden blocks. They'll disrupt the big Instrument that tracks all our so-called Sins and brings the Shape down on us. RightQuote.png

Install Dampers in Maze[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png Install the dampers. Mount dampers on strings. Place 4 Sound Dampers on these specific Instrument Strings underground. This'll turn off the bad guys' big Murder Harp thing, at least for a while - wiping the record of all our "Sins". RightQuote.png

Set up Exorcism Kit[edit | edit source]

LeftQuote.png Set up Exorcism Kit. Bring 3 Blackout Images to Kit. The Voices didn't always talk like us - their Old Tongue was like... poses and chanting, and time? It's like their DNA, but waaay harder to decode. The Voices want to help us do that -if we find bits of their language - these Blackout Images. Thing is... people who read them tend to, uh, disappear. Something chases you, like your own brain turns on you. Get caught and you... well, black out. So. We need at least three, but the more you can bring, the better! RightQuote.png
