Description[edit | edit source]

— J. Mitaine, SEED-THE-GRUDGE's Sacrifice Quote

SEED-THE-GRUDGE, also known by her acronym STG, can be sacrificed to and sent prayers if the player has the Light of Rebellion.

SEED-THE-GRUDGE is known for seeking revenge and justice. SEED-THE-GRUDGE will not hurt an innocent person, and she thinks forgiveness is an excuse.[citation needed] THEE-I-DARE refers to SEED-THE-GRUDGE as a blood instrument or "angel of vengeance".[citation needed] She is the third member of The Pact.

History[edit | edit source]

Before the Game[edit | edit source]

SEED-THE-GRUDGE was an agent of IN-HER-TEETH, often described as being used as her weapon.[citation needed] When Hosts would cry out to her for vengeance towards those who wronged them, IN-HER-TEETH would tell them to wait, and that vengeance would happen in time. They were momentarily satisfied, until they realized that IN-HER-TEETH meant that death came to all eventually. SEED-THE-GRUDGE broke off, and said she would wait no more.[2]

In-Game[edit | edit source]

Initially, SEED-THE-GRUDGE was not on the ritual table. She implored the Club members to send prayers to the other Voices, so that she may have a "seat at the table".[citation needed] Eventually, SEED-THE-GRUDGE's name and symbol appeared on the ritual table, and she was able to be sacrificed to and sent prayers to.[citation needed] THE-MEASURE-CUTS was one of the Voices that approved of her being added.[citation needed]

SEED-THE-GRUDGE was filled with rage after the death of DANCE-FOR-US. She said HUNT-THE-STRONG stole her memory of her, and vowed for vengeance. She believes losing a sibling is akin to losing a piece of her soul, and says forgiving HUNT-THE-STRONG is a waste of time. She asked players to find his name, so that they may learn how to fight him.[3] She said the answer lies in the Old Language, and that there are a group of missing children that are knowledgeable of it. She implores players to find them.[4][5]

IN-HER-TEETH does not view SEED-THE-GRUDGE favorably, and calls her angry and petty. IN-HER-TEETH views revenge as fruitless.[6]

Initially, she seemed vaguely interested in the Pact that THEE-I-DARE was forming, but ultimately said she was more interested in personal causes than grand alliances.[7] Still, THEE-I-DARE continued to pursue her, and offered her the position of leader, should she join the Pact.[citation needed] SEED-THE-GRUDGE accepted, and now leads the Pact, consisting of THEE-I-DARE, THE-MEASURE-CUTS, DIE-FOR-YOU, and herself.[8]

SEED-THE-GRUDGE finds LAUGH-LAST nauseating and is unappreciative of any attempts of matchmaking between them.[4]

As her responsibility within the Pact grew, SEED-THE-GRUDGE marked the most devout of her Chosen with masks and told them to be her generals, to continue her cause, protect her, and speak for her if the time is needed, while she is busy leading the Pact.[9]
